At almost three acres, Lot 179 is
already one of the largest lots in Beresford Hall, however it's relative
size and privacy are enhanced since it is surrounded on three sides by
marsh and wetlands.
The waterfront home site sits at
the end of a 400' private driveway nestled in a stand of live oaks.
The primary view corridor is a Southern exposure looking towards Daniel
Island with acres of marsh/wetlands to the East and West.. The
site is perfect for a Lowcountry style design, and is one of the few
lots that allows an elevated structure with parking underneath.
A section of the lot (see Plat Map
to the left) has been identified as archaeologically significant and
potentially eligible for inclusion on the National Register of
Historical Places. Site 38BK1829 contains the remnants of an 18th
century brick kiln and is subject to specific preservation covenants.
The site is approved under the
Dock Master Plan for an individual pierhead and floating dock. The
large and well defined dock corridor is over 600' wide and extends from
the lot to Martins Creek. This section of Martins Creek is
between 70' to 85' in width and allows docks up to 160 square
feet each. |
